PGT545 COURSE SYNOPSIS

“This course analyses models in the teaching and learning process, from the range of philosophical principles in education for students to acquire skills in evaluating educational programs and its implementations in schools. Students will also analyze and criticize a variety of teaching design models and of feedback to improve the models. Comparative study for related models, based on the trends and development in the theory of learning, teaching strategies as well as the recent technology will be carried out.”

Instead of following the planner given to me for the guidance to choose the subjects for every semester, I really like to go further in this subject especially after read this course synopsis. As we know in our current education circumstances, I really need to know and apply variety of teaching design models to fit my various kind of student’s pattern.

I am just not to learn about the theory how to apply them, but also analyse and compare with our current trend of education system instead of technology development itself. As a young teacher whom love gadget and technology, I really like to improve my teaching skills while bring it with technology in my daily teaching process at school. Even though I will face lots of problems to apply it at my school optimally, but I do believe one day my students will become book less but still knowledgeable by using ICT technology. As we know, our current government has very good concerning about our national education from primary level to tertiary level. This can be tell through the latest preliminary report of Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2035 which were launch on 11 September 2012 by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak, our prime minister at Kuala Lumpur. One of the 11 shifts required to transform our current education system is to enhance the learning through application of ICT. 

Now it is my responsibility to study about ICT and its application as I am preparing myself towards future circumstance of education system as well as to put high this profession in our community.
